Moises Muniz was inducted at our April 16, 2020 meeting and Ridvan Foxhall was inducted on April 23, 2020. This was the first time that Peekskill Rotary has welcomed a new member during on online meeting. How we handle the traditional method of acquiring signatures on the new white hat remains to be seen.
Moises Muniz
Moises Muniz was born in Bayamón, Puerto Rico and was raised in humble Christian Home. He and his wife Raquel have been married for 10 years and have three beautiful children (Isabella 8 years, Israel 5 years, Leila 3 years). Ever since he was a child he was always interested in doing work and seized every opportunity to learn something new.
Moises visited the Salvation Army for the first time when he was 6 years old, became a member as a Junior Soldier and participated in different kids programs; camp and music programs. While he was in High School he also studied Industrial Refrigeration and did my internship at his stepfather’s business.
From a young age Moises belonged to The Salvation Army as a volunteer and after he finished his studies in Industrial Refrigeration, he became an employee for The Salvation Army. He worked with children, youth and music in the Puerto Rico Division. In 2006 he went to the School for Officer Training as he had decided to dedicate my life to be a Salvation Army Officer. After his 5 years of service he went up to a Captain Rank. In July 2018 he and Raquel were transferred to serve in the Peekskill Salvation Army and will continue serving the community in this appointment that is filled with challenges and new experiences.
