Every year, Rotarians around the world are asked to contribute to the Rotary Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit, in a program called “Every Rotarian Every Year” or EREY. Ideally, it is $100 per Rotarian. This is voluntary, but if all (or most) do this, it sustains Rotary International’s ability to match grants throughout the world.
100% EREY Incentive
Deb Milone, Past President of the Rotary Club or Peekskill, came up with an idea to incentivize the Peekskill Club members to all give, and to give early. Her idea was that if the Club reached 100% participation before the Annual Fall Festival held each year in early October, the current Club President would wear a costume of Deb’s choosing to the next four weekly Club meetings, ending about Halloween. Deb’s idea works every year, and is a fun, playful way to get everyone involved. This year, Tony Washington, a Peekskill HS graduate is the Club’s President. Deb chose a George Washington outfit for Tony Washington. He is shown in the photo surrounded by Rotary District Governor Syed Aliraiti who came to a recent meeting, Deb Milone, and Rotary Area Governor Lynne Nayman, also a Peekskill resident.
